Metal Church Welcome Flotsam And Jetsam, Ex-Megadeth, Etc. Members, Debut New Track “F.A.F.O.”

Metal Church have revamped their lineup with some new players. The veteran thrashers have welcomed a trio of new additions in bassist/vocalist David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth, etc.), drummer Ken Mary (Flotsam And Jetsam, etc.) and vocalist Brian Allen (Trauma, Dark Arena). Founding guitarist/keyboardist Kurdt Vanderhoof remains in place, as does guitarist Rick Van Zandt.

This latest chapter from the band has kicked off with the debut of their new song “F.A.F.O.“, which Vanderhoof produced. Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed) was brought on to mix it. Current plans have the group’s fourteenth studio album scheduled for a 2026 release through Rat Pak Records with exact details still pending.

Speaking on this influx of new bandmembers, Vanderhoof went on to say:

“After 45 years, the fact that we have new music coming in 2025 feels like a miracle. There was a time when I honestly didn’t think Metal Church would continue, but we’re back—and this lineup is firing on all cylinders. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have a new single on the way; that alone makes this moment incredibly special. ‘F.A.F.O.’ is an aggressive thrasher, and I think the fans are really going to dig it. We certainly do—otherwise it wouldn’t be Metal Church.”

Metal Church live:

08/05 Josefov, CZE – Brutal Assault Festival
08/08 Kortrijk, BEL – Alcatraz Festival
08/09 Geiselwind, GER – Keep It True Festival
