WALES host NEW ZEALAND ALL BLACKS very soon as Steve Tandy’s side look to improve on a disappointing performance against Japan. Despite their struggles in that match, the narrow victory means they enter the game with an element of confidence, although few are giving them much hope of beating the All Blacks.

WALES have made a number of changes to the side, with Harri Deaves earning a debut cap at seven and Tain Plumtree a late addition to the team following Aaron Wainwright’s injury.

Elsewhere, centre Joe Hawkins starts for WALES for the first time in two years, while props Rhys Carre and Keiron Assiratti return to the run-on XV. NEW ZEALAND ALL BLACKS, meanwhile, have made 12 changes to the side that lost to England last weekend.

You can follow live updates of the match below, which is being shown on TNT Sports. Welsh language commentary is also available on S4C.

WALES: Blair Murray; Louis Rees-Zammit, Max Llewellyn, Joe Hawkins, Tom Rogers; Dan Edwards, Tomos Williams; Rhys Carre, Dewi Lake (capt), Keiron Assiratti, Dafydd Jenkins, Adam Beard, Alex Mann, Harri Deaves, Taine Plumtree.

Replacements: Brodie Coghlan, Gareth Thomas, Archie Griffin, Freddie Thomas, Morgan Morse, Kieran Hardy, Jarrod Evans, Nick Tompkins.

NEW ZEALAND ALL BLACKS: Ruben Love; Will Jordan, Rieko Ioane, Anton Lienert-Brown, Caleb Clarke; Damian McKenzie, Cortez Ratima; Tamaiti Williams, Samisoni Taukei’aho, Pasilio Tosi, Scott Barrett (Captain), Fabian Holland, Simon Parker, Du’Plessis Kirifi, Wallace Sititi.

All Blacks make 13 changes
In a massive shake-up, the All Blacks have named a heavily rotated side to face WALES in Cardiff, making 13 changes to the starting XV that fell short at Twickenham last week. With the tour finale upon them, “Razor” has opted to freshen up the legs and test his depth, retaining only captain Scott Barrett, flanker Simon Parker and winger Caleb Clarke.

WALES set to face 6ft 5in 23 stone prop
As well as the world class ability and packed out 75,000-seater stadiums, something that separates club and Test rugby is the sheer size of the individuals that play at international level.

With South Africa and France both playing this weekend, some of the world’s biggest players are going toe-to-toe. One man who could cause WALES some issues on Saturday afternoon is towering loose-head prop Tamaiti Williams.

The 25-year-old is in the starting XV for the encounter in Cardiff and will be scrummaging against Cardiff tight-head Keiron Assiratti. At 6ft 5in and weighing 23 stone, Williams is one of the biggest physical specimens in the game when considering both height and weight, so Assiratti will have his work cut out in the capital.
