A last minute winner from Cedric Main gave Quakers the points
Chances were few and far between, with Will McGowan going closest for Quakers, while Pete Jameson made a good save from Corey McKeown.
And both sides had a man sent off for second yellows – Scott Barrow of Darlington and former Darlington player Cameron Salkeld for Moors
Quakers won the first corner on 3 minutes following a good run by Charlie Lennon, but Spennymoor broke way through Cameron Salkeld on the right, and his low cross was too far for Junior Mondal.
Quakers again got away up the left through Lennon, and his low cross was just too far for Maskell.
Quakers had a half chance when Maskell played the ball back to Max Howells who crossed into the middle for Tom Platt to head wide.
Moors had their first chance on 13 minutes when the ball was played inside for Cameron Salkeld, whose low shot was saved by Jameson
They gained a corner on the right on 18 minutes , but the ball went over everybody.
Moors had a chance on 21 minutes when Corey McKeown played the ball into the box for Rob Ramshaw, who slipped and Jameson was able to gather the ball easily.
And they had another opportunity when McKeown crossed to the far post for Salkeld to volley back into the middle, but Toby Lees blocked Junior Mondal’s close range shot
Quakers replied with a ball through the middle by Barrow for McGowan to turn and hit a left foot shot straight at Jones.
Quakers were denied by a great save by Jones on 31 minutes. There was some good interplay down the left, giving Lennon the space to cross for McGowan to have a header saved one-handed by the Moors keeper.
Moors then won a couple of corners which came to nothing, but then Jameson pulled off a good diving save from McKeown after the Spennymoor man had cut in from the left.
Half time 0-0
Quakers started the second half with a free kick on the left by McGowan, which Spennymoor managed to get away, then Scott Barrow tried his luck with a left foot shot from 25 yards which went over the top.
After an even spell and a stoppage in play for an injury, Quakers had a half chance when Barrow’s free kick was helped on by McGowan for Maskell to put in a header which Jones saved.
But then both sides were reduced to ten men when Quakers won a free kick and several players got involved in a scuffle, which ended with Barrow and Cameron Salkeld being shown their second yellows.
Quakers responded by taking off Maskell, and replacing him with Cedric Main.
From the free kick curled in by Lennon, Toby Lees headed just wide.
Moors went close themselves when Ethan Pugh picked the ball up 25 yards out, and struck a right foot shot just wide.
Quakers made their second sub on 74 minutes, Tom Allan coming on for Howells.
Lennon kept going though, and he cut in from the left and hit a right foot shot that went over, then from a corner on the left, Lees headed just wide.
But in the first minute of stoppage time, Quakers’ persistence paid off, the ball was played through for Main, who quickly brought the ball under control, and curled it past Jones into the net
