Georgetown Football Wraps up 2025 Season Against Holy Cross at Fenway Park

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team (6-5, 3-3 PL) will conclude its 2025 season in Boston, Massachusetts, on Saturday, November 22, against Holy Cross (2-9, 2-4 PL). Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. at Fenway Park.

ABOUT THE HOYAS

  • Last weekend, the Hoyas shut out Fordham 14-0 on Senior Day. 
  • Defensive tackle Cooper Blomstrom earned a Patriot League Weekly Honorable Mention for his performance against the Rams. The junior recorded a career high of 4.5 sacks for a loss of 24 yards. He also recorded six tackles (4 solo, 2 assists) and forced two fumbles.
  • On the season, Jimmy Kibble leads GU receivers with 56 catches for a career high of 916 yards and four touchdowns. Kibble now has 2,507 career receiving yards and is fourth in program history.
  • Quarterback Dez Thomas II has completed 120 passes for 1361 yards and eight touchdowns.
  • Hart leads the ground game for GU with 162 runs for 781 yards and 10 touchdowns.
  • On defense, GianCarlo Rufo leads the Hoyas with 99 tackles (56 solo, 43 assists) while Cooper Blomstrom leads with 7.5 sacks for a loss of 46 yards and 10 quarterback hurries. 

ABOUT THE CRUSADERS

  • Last weekend, Holy Cross downed Bucknell 37-20 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
  • Junior linebacker Cam Santee was selected as the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Bison. Sante recorded a team-high 10 tackles (8 solo, 2 assists), 2 sacks and two forced fumbles.
  • Jayden Clerveaux leads the run game for the Crusaders with 145 runs for 713 yards and five touchdowns.
  • Quarterback Cal Swanson has thrown 86 passes for 1021 yards and six touchdowns.
  • Max Mosey leads HC receivers with 45 catches for 453 yards.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP

  • Georgetown and Holy Cross will meet for the 34th time in program history, dating back to 1904. The Hoyas are 10-23 all-time against the Crusaders.  
  • GU’s last win over the Crusaders was a 21-16 victory on November 22, 2014 on the Hilltop. 
  • The last time the Hoyas played at Fenway was when an undefeated GU team took on Boston College on November 16, 1940, in front of 40,000 fans. GU fell 19-18 to the Eagles.
