The St. Louis Blues recalled the defenceman from the AHL on Saturday, the team announced.
Mailloux, 22, struggled in his first nine games with St. Louis this season, failing to record a point while posting a minus-12.
He scored twice in five games with the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds.
St. Louis acquired the Belle River, Ont., native from the Montreal Canadiens in a trade for forward Zack Bolduc on July 1. Bolduc has seven points (four goals, three assists) in 20 games with the Habs on the season.
The Blues, losers of four straight, return to action Saturday when they visit the New York Islanders (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 3:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 p.m. PT).
