Air Force Week 13 Preview

Air Force (3-7) has traded wins and losses in its last four games. They’ll look to avoid a second loss in a row this week as they take on New Mexico (7-3) at 7 PM EST Saturday on CBSSN.

Last time out
Air Force lost to UConn 26-16 last Saturday despite rushing for 290 yards on 58 carries and two touchdowns. Liam Szarka went 2/3 for 34 yards and Kempter Hodges was 4//8 for 32 yards. Hodges also carried the ball 10 times for 62 yards. Owen Allen carried 22 times for 122 yards. Dylan Carson had the two touchdowns for Air Force. He carried 11 times for 58 yards.

Keys to the game
Will Air Force be able to continue to run the ball and if so, will it be enough to win? Air Force averages 271.2 yards rushing a game which is good for 3rd in the FBS. The defense has struggled all year. They’ve allowed 446.6 total yards a game (129th), 274.8 passing yards allowed (131st), 171.8 rushing yards allowed (105th), and are allowing 32.3 points a game (121st).
