Is ‘SNL’ new tonight? See the ‘Saturday Night Live’ season 50 schedule
“Saturday Night Live” has announced the lineup of hosts and musical guests through the end of 2025.
There won’t be a new episode of “SNL” on Saturday, Nov. 22. After Glen Powell hosted on Nov. 15 with musical guest Olivia Dean, “SNL” began a two-week hiatus. The sketch comedy show will return on Saturday, Dec. 6, with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon.
Josh O’Connor will then host the Dec. 13 episode with musical guest Lily Allen. The last “SNL” episode of 2025, which will air on Dec. 20, will feature host Ariana Grande and musical guest Cher.
Dijon and O’Connor will be making their “SNL” debuts this season, while Allen and Cher will both be returning to the “SNL” stage for the first time in a while.
Allen, who’ll be playing songs from her new album “West End Girl” during the Dec. 13 episode, last served as the musical guest in February 2007. Cher, meanwhile, previously performed on the show 38 years ago, in November 1987.
McCarthy and Grande are both “SNL” fixtures at this point. Dec. 6 will mark McCarthy’s sixth time hosting, while Grande has been the musical guest three times and hosted twice before.
“SNL” will take a break after Grande and Cher’s episode. The show typically takes several weeks off around Christmas and New Year’s and returns in mid-January.
