Dwayne Johnson Reveals He Pitched Himself For Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep’s The Devil Wears Prada 2, Deets Inside
Can you imagine Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson walking into Miranda Priestly’s office wearing heels and an incredibly chic outfit? Neither can we! The Smashing Machine actor recently revealed that he pitched himself for a role in The Devil Wears Prada 2. In his pitch to co-star Emily Blunt, Dwayne described his character as someone who is fully aware of the rules of fashion, which is obviously a prerequisite for entering the iconic franchise.

In a chat with Entertainment Weekly, he shared, “I pitched myself. I told her when she was shooting.” He went on to reveal that he imagined his character as “just someone who knew fashion, who was cool” and “would come in” to join the stylish but chaotic world of Priestly.
Blunt, who was also a part of the podcast, added that Dwayne’s character would’ve also been “great at walking in heels, as you are.” The Rock joked that those would be a size 15.
Emily then joked, “You should see him in a pair of heels. Hot.”
Johnson also recalled the crazy fan moments from the sets of the film, which is being shot in NYC. “Emily would send me these videos, she was kind of in her car, waiting to step out on set in New York City out in the streets, she was like, ‘Look at this!’ It was wild. Like, pop star level sighting,” said the Moana star.
Meanwhile, Blunt refused to get into the details about the script.
