A 3-month-old baby girl was abducted in New Roads on Saturday afternoon, Louisiana State Police say.
A’laya Jackson, 3 months old, was last seen at 3:18 p.m. on Bayou Run Drive in New Roads. Louisiana State Police sent an AMBER Alert for the missing child shortly after 11:30 p.m. after a request at about 10:25 p.m.
Police believe thast Carnasia Mims, 24, took the child and fled in a blue Toyota Yaris with Louisiana plat 533HZE.
Jackson is a Black baby girl with black hair. Mims is a Black woman about 5’4″ and 137 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Louisiana State Police advise anyone who sees the child to call 911.
