It’s that time of year when the light fingers really go to work, claiming packages and parcels left in front of the delivery house as their own.
The RNC say it’s a good idea to have a security system as the images these days are high quality, and to report any suspicious activity to them.
Media relations officer Cst. Steph Myers says we’re all in this together so having neighbor look out for neighbor is also an effective means to dash the hopes of porch pirates.
“You can also, for those higher-priced items, have a sign on the door for the delivery so that those items aren’t left for the sticky fingers,” says Cst. Myers.
The U-S Postal Service says nearly 60-million packages were stolen last year with billions of dollars in losses each year.
