Two contestants booted out of Big Brother

Big Brother Australia booted not one, but two housemates in a shock double eviction on Sunday night.
The live episode saw three housemates up for eviction, with all three arguably among the most vocal members of the house.
Up for elimination for the second time in as many weeks was Jane, a retired grandma from Victoria who scored the 14 nomination points. She was followed closely behind by self-proclaimed spicy Sri Lankan Mia with 13 points. Rounding out the nominees was no-nonsense Queensland social worker Allana with 10 votes.
But Australia has spoken and voted Jane to be the first housemate evicted.
Speaking to host Mel Tracina after she was announced as the first evictee, Jane said: “It was hard because every day in the house I’d been nominated, it’s been really quite difficult. Today was just, ‘Oh, the emotions.’”
But Jane was excited as it is her granddaughter’s graduation from kindy on Friday, so “she will be so excited that I will be at her graduation”.
While viewers knew of the double eviction, back at the house the housemates were unaware.
In yet another plot twist, it was announced one lucky Big Brother fan was to be given the power to choose who between Allana and Mia should be the next to leave the house.
And the fan called in and chose to evict Mia.
“I was devastated that Jane was gone, but I was like Australia have saved me,” she told Mel after being evicted. “But that’s the thing with Big Brother, there’s always a twist and I had a feeling it was gonna be a double eviction and I was right.”
The eviction took place after tension was felt through the house when Allana outed Holly for comments she made about their fellow housemate, Emily, during movie night.
Speaking to Coco, Allana revealed that controversial model Holly insinuated that Emily had never been to a party before.
“Last night Holly lent over to me at the couch – what I’m about to tell you, it really hurt my heart,” Allana shared of what Holly said. “She leaned over to and goes, ‘See how nice – how much people are enjoying themselves like Emily, look at her.”
“You know, ‘She’s not that girl that ever got invited to a sleepover or a party.’ Can you believe she actually thinks that about Emily?”
Coco was not impressed and left in tears over Holly’s comments, and called a family meeting.
“I don’t stand for people feeling like they are up here and people are down here. We are all equals in this house. OK?” Coco cried.
“We all are equals, I don’t care what job you do, how much money, I don’t care how much friends you got. We’re all equals so I just had to get that off my chest.”
Awkwardly, Holly clapped not knowing Coco was directing that message her way. But she was soon clued in by Allana in a bathroom confrontation where she claimed her comments were “misinterpreted”.
First evictee Jane’s time in the house has also eventful, to say the least.
This past week alone, the 67-year-old had numerous clashes her housemates after feeling “disrespected” in the house.
Jane, who was the 13th and final housemate to enter the Dreamworld house on the Gold Coast after public vote, had a heated row with the younger boys Vincent, Colin and Bruce.
The oldest contestant in the house decided to call a meeting with the trio to scold them for allegedly constantly farting around her.
However, instead of politely asking the guys to refrain from doing it in front of her, she bulldozed the conversation and insisted that she’s sick and tired of men “disrespecting” women.
“It’s fair if you’ve expressed you don’t want farts,” said Vincent. “But you’re insinuating that we don’t have respect towards women. First of all, he does, I do and Colin does.”
Colin agreed, saying: “Yeah fair enough. But don’t go around saying we disrespect women.”
“The way you have behaved toward me as a woman … I find, I find disrespectful,” she insisted.
Her gripe came just days after she also told off Perth model Holly for “pashing” Colin under the covers.
“Do it in the corner! I’m in here with all you young people. I don’t wanna see that sh*t,” Jane told her. “To me it is inappropriate, in my face, with my new friends and I can hear you kissing under a blanket! End of!”
Meanwhile, second evictee Mia, a 23-year-old Bunnings shop assistant from Victoria, had a cringe moment with 30-year-old Edward after he friendzoned her this week.
Mia, who admitted she’s a virgin on the show, had been crushing on the sales manager from South Australia since day dot, even if Vinnie warned her that Ed hadn’t shown any signs of interest in her.
After faking a phone call to her sister for no apparent reason, she gave Ed the ick and her chances of a relationship with him were pretty much dashed.
“If we’re talking about dating scenes, that’s gotta go,” Ed said of her fake phone call. “I’m saying it’s bonkers.”
Mia later decided to shoot another shot, but was rejected in brutal scenes.
“I think from the start I have felt a strong attraction to you and had feelings for you, and I’ve been honest with pretty much everyone except you,” Mia revealed.
“You saying that really struck a chord because when you’re saying that, that’s not a kind of girl you would want to date.”
The pair then agreed to be friends, with Mia stating to Jane, “He’s not interested.”
Big Brother continues 7:30pm Monday.
