Leandro Trossard gives Tony Adams’ famous nickname to another Arsenal star and it’s perfect

Tony Adams is one of Arsenal’s greatest ever players.
The legendary Englishman started his career at the club, broke into the senior squad, became the captain and went on to play 683 games for the Gunners.
Adams has rightly been nicknamed Mr Arsenal for his service to the North London giants, but that title seems to have been passed on to another player now.
Who is Arsenal’s greatest player ever?
Leandro Trossard calls Bukayo Saka ‘Mr Arsenal’
Like Tony Adams, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is a product of the academy.
The teenager came through the ranks at Hale End before making his senior debut for the club under Unai Emery.
Saka has since become one of Arsenal’s most important players, and if he spends his entire career at the Emirates, he could have a similar legacy to Adams.
That is perhaps why Leandro Trossard has given him Adams’ nickname.
In a video of player vs pundit on Sky Sports, featuring the Belgian and Jamie Carragher, the duo were asked when Arsenal were founded.
Since there was an option to phone a friend, Trossard picked up his mobile. When asked who he was going to call, he replied: “Bukayo, he’s Mr Arsenal, know?”
Saka didn’t answer the call, but having been a Gooner all his life, we’re sure he would’ve known the correct answer, which is 1886.

Is Bukayo Saka already an Arsenal legend?
‘Mr Arsenal’ suits Bukayo Saka perfectly
Saka is Arsenal through and through.
The Englishman grew up watching games at the Emirates and has been a part of the club since he was just eight years old.
Since then, Saka has broken into the first team, become an England international and is now among the best players in the world.

Saka carried Arsenal on his back during Mikel Arteta’s early years at the club and is one of the biggest reasons why they are title challengers now.
If the Gunners go on to win the Premier League and Champions League this season or in the coming years, Saka will have played a big part.
That is why he is worthy of the ‘Mr Arsenal’ title.
