Noni Madueke issues statement after Arsenal star’s social media account is changed to show him in Chelsea colours

NONI MADUEKE has assured Chelsea fans it was not him who was posting provocative posts on social media to rile them up.
Plenty of Blues supporters reacted to a recent X post where Madueke was posted in an Arsenal shirt with a simple caption of ‘much better’.

A glance at Madueke’s X account will show you a sea of Tweets from his Chelsea days, the last of which was almost exactly a year ago on November 23, 2024.
After the backlash, Madueke took to his Instagram account to clear up the mess.
He wrote: “Guys I don’t have any of the details to my X account.
“I’m gonna update the bio and stuff when I can get back into the account. Apologies,” Madueke said, with a crying with laughter emoji and a hand makes heart emoji.

The 23-year-old winger has been out injured since hurting his knee back in September.
It’s believed he’s making good progress and a return could be ‘imminent’, which will be good news to Arsenal and England fans alike after his strong start to the season.
Arsenal are sitting top of the Premier League three points clear of Chelsea with a game in hand, at the time of writing, with the Gunners facing Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
Madueke moved to the Emirates Stadium in the summer for £48.5million – something that caused Arsenal fans to start a petition against the signing the winger that reached almost 5,000 signatures.

The hashtag ‘#NoToMadueke’ also gained traction on X and the England international was very quickly on the backfoot before even setting foot inside the club.
Despite no goals or assists, Madueke has quickly won over the Gunners’ fanbase with his direct running and bravery on the ball, injecting a bit of speed and guile into the Arsenal frontline.
Speaking on The Dispatch podcast earlier this month, Madueke had nothing but good things to say about the club’s fans now he’s a few months into his stay in north London.
“The team has been great. Of course we’re flying. It’s not just a team of great and talented players,” he said.
“It’s a team full of good people. And I think the culture around here is probably the best I’ve seen.
“And yeah, in terms of the supporters, it was a bit dicey at the start on social media and stuff before I came to the club.
“But when I’ve been in the stadium, I haven’t felt like the fans (have been criticising me).

“Obviously I play on the side down the pitch so I can hear them and they push me on throughout the game. Whenever I get the ball I hear them.
“God willing that continues because it gives me a big, big boost.
