FanDuel NFL Best Bets: TSN staff picks for Week 12

Week 12 of the NFL Season has arrived, and we are back with another set of Best Bets from our TSN Betting team.
Let’s get to the action. Here are our team’s best bets.
Domenic Padula: Mack Hollins over 23.5 receiving yards
It would be easy to overlook what Stefon Diggs has done in his first year with the Patriots. After all, the narrative that second-year quarterback Drake Maye has gone from a 150-to-1 longshot to the second choice to win MVP in a span of 10 weeks is much juicier when the talent around him is completely discounted. However, Diggs ranks top five in the NFL in wide receiver EPA/play, putting him just a step behind superstars like Jaxon-Smith Njigba, Puka Nacua and… George Pickens. The 31-year-old didn’t top 57 yards in any of his first three games as he worked his way back from an ACL tear, but the Patriots have ramped up his workload, and he’s responded when called upon. Meanwhile, Diggs might not even be New England’s most underrated wide receiver at this point. Mack Hollins has two or more receptions in six straight games. He’s registered 28 or more receiving yards in five of those six games, including 106 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago and 64 against the New York Jets last Thursday. Cincinnati has allowed the fourth-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season. Maye should be able to pick his poison here. Diggs, Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, and Demario Douglas is an underrated wide receiver core, but with Hollins’ over/under sitting at 23.5 I feel compelled to take it. Give me Hollins over 23.5 receiving yards as a FanDuel Best Bet for NFL Sunday Week 12.
Drew Morrison: Zach Charbonnet 40 or more rushing yards (-122)
Paired with a rich and buttery Brie or Camembert, I do enjoy a crisp Charbonnet. Especially since Kenneth Walker creeped onto the injury report mid-week with a glute injury, it may be time to uncork Zach. The Seahawks have had a split backfield for most of the season. Walker generally out-touches and out-gains Zach Charbonnet, but not by much. The latter is still averaging almost 12 carries a game. The problem is his less-than-stellar 3.3 yards per carry. But against the Titans’ run defence, that is ranked 26th in the league this season, Charbonnet will have an opportunity to boost that average.th Like a fine wine, he will get better.
Connor Ford: Juwan Johnson Less Than 5 Receptions (-138)
Juwan Johnson is having the best year of his career. However, this week he’s up against a Falcons defence that has been a nightmare matchup for tight ends this season. Atlanta has allowed the second fewest receptions and third fewest yards to the position. In fact, rookie Tyler Warren is the only tight end to record more than four catches against the Falcons.
Johnson has also seen far less volume with Tyler Shough in at quarterback for the Saints. Shough is averaging just 25.5 pass attempts in his two starts, with Johnson seeing just four targets in each of those games. He also played just 50% of the snaps in Week 10, which was a season low.
Johnson is always a threat to find the end zone, but I don’t see how he records more than four receptions this week, even with Rasheed Shaheed out of the picture in New Orleans. The Falcons are allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game, so I expect them to try to lean on the run game. I’ll lock in Johnson to record less than five receptions as my Week 12 best bet.
Luke Bellus: Jameis Winston 1+ interceptions + Rams ML (-107)
Get ready for the full Jameis Winston experience this week.
Travelling to Detroit as nearly a two-touchdown underdog, Winston will have the ball in his hands plenty Sunday afternoon against the Lions.
Last week against the Green Bay Packers, Winston threw an interception, making it five straight starts and six of his last seven dating back to 2024.
If you can find a place to ladder interceptions, let me know, and I might join you.
As for the Los Angeles Rams, they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football, a game I expect Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford to take care of business against a Bucs team that has lost three of its last four.
