Leao, Martinez & Co – Inter Milan and AC Milan most valuable combined XI at €572m valuation

The Milan derby is one of the most famous in the world and the latest installment will take place on Sunday night. The two Italian giants are riding high in Serie A and all eyes will be fixated on the legendary San Siro. One of the most recognisable stadiums is due to be demolished in 2031 with a new stadium to be built for Euro 2032.

Barring Inter Milan and AC Milan drawing each other in the cup competitions, there will only be ten more derbies at the iconic venue and every one will be treasured. Heading into matchday 12 in Serie A, Inter Milan top the table as they aim to regain the Scudetto from Napoli while AC Milan are beginning their revival under the wily Massimiliano Allegri. There will be an abundance of talent on display at the San Siro and we’ve compiled the most valuable combined XI.

Inter Milan vs AC Milan: Most valuable combined XI

Using Transfemarkt’s renowned market values, the combined XI would have a total valuation of €572 million with seven Inter players and four from AC Milan. Lautaro Martínez is the most valuable player in Italy at €85m and he’s from a front three with AC Milan duo Rafael Leão and Christian Pulisic.

Nicolò Barella is the most valuable midfielder at the Milan clubs with the Italian international valued at €65m. He’d form the midfield trio with teammate Davide Frattesi and Ardon Jashari, who joined AC Milan this summer from Club Brugge. Inter’s defence has led them to two Champions League finals in the last five years and their players form the back four with Mike Maignan the goalkeeper.
