Football Tips: Sunday evening’s 17/1 European Multi Match Bet Builder

Serie A’s renegade masters’ ill behaviour to continue.
Beyond the North London derby, all eyes will be focused on Milan this Sunday – but you can forget your questionable catwalk outfits made from stalagmites and pineapple husk…
The Milan derby is a walk that only the very bravest can face, and it’s one of three continental clashes set to hit our screens like a slice of pizza lobbed from Cesc Fabregas’ own hands.

International break leaders Inter have won each of their last four home games, while Milan are unbeaten away – an irresistible force against an immovable object? Nauseating Mitchell and Webb sketch cliches aside, this is a very difficult call to make despite Inter’s status as odds-on favourites, so we look to historic trends for inspiration.
Admittedly, Milan may not be visitors in the usual sense, but they did their reputation no favours in their last away game, when giving up a 2-0 lead at Parma to draw 2-2. And with Inter already averaging almost three goals per home league game (2.83), it seems a mere question of when the Nerazzurri will pounce, if not how often.
Of course, we have to be diplomatic here, and Milan’s potential psychological edge could be advantageous for them, especially as they too have players with the ability to punish.
That much was proven when Milan ran out 3-0 winners as the ‘away’ side in the most recent head-to-head, completing a 4-1 aggregate win in last season’s Coppa Italia. In doing so, the Rossoneri extended their unbeaten run against the blue half of the city to five matches – though Milan’s destroyer in chief that night, the brace-scoring Luka Jovic, is now at AEK Athens.
That last meeting is still something of an anomaly though, as it is the only one amongst the last seven to see a clean sheet either way.
Each Team: 3+ Corners and 1+ Cards
While both sides have the rich potential to score, derbies across the world inherently promise last-ditch blocks and robust challenges, so we’d be foolish not to add this into the mix. That’s more especially the case when we dive into last season’s quintet of Milan derbies, with the corners part of this hybrid selection paying out in each of the last four clashes.
Inter: Over 1.5 Cards
Meanwhile, three of those five derbies played last season saw at least one player from each side go into the book. Interestingly though, Milan never got more cards than their rivals, with at least two Inter players going into the book on all five occasions.

Lille to Win
Compared to the impending Milan maelstrom, we have a much more straightforward 1X2 selection over in France, as Lille boast a very strong home record (W4, D1, L1) on top of an average of nearly two goals scored per home league game to date (1.83).
Although not backing them for a handicap win probably seems a bit on the cowardly side at first glance, Lille weren’t all that convincing in a 1-0 win over Angers when last in action at home. They’ll not quickly forget that defensive collapse against PAOK in the Europa League either, so we don’t expect a gung-ho approach from the outset.
And while Paris FC might have lost three of their last five, they’ve seldom gone down without a good fight. Indeed, they’ve still lost by a multi-goal margin just once, doing so way back on matchday two against a very potent Marseille side, and the 1-0 away win over Monaco to kick off November felt like a real coming of age moment for them.
Lille 2+ Corners in Each Half
Given their status as clear favourites at home, we’d expect Lille to get their fair share of corners. They’ve managed to tally up at least two flag kicks in eight out of 10 halves across their last five competitive home games, with this selection paying out in the aforementioned win over Angers, despite the slender scoreline.

Real Madrid to Win
Lads, it’s Elche… No disrespect intended, but Real’s 17-game unbeaten streak against the Costa Blanca outfit is hard to ignore – as is Los Blancos’ return of six wins from their seven most recent trips to the Franjiverdes’ home.
Against all opponents, meanwhile, Real have won on eight of their previous 11 road trips, so we’re a tad surprised the odds for this one aren’t even shorter than they already are.
Elche Goalkeeper to Make 3+ Saves
Again, not too much of a song and dance to make here. Despite their attempts to win five league games on the spin being stubbed out just before the international break – via a 0-0 draw against Rayo – they’ve met this selection in every league game this term but one.
Unsurprisingly, the odd one out was that infamous 5-2 loss to Atletico Madrid in late September, but even then they fell short by just one Jan Oblak save!
