Four Patriots Starters Suffer Injuries In First Half Against Bengals

UPDATE (2:55 p.m. ET): Wilson was downgraded to out following halftime.

ORIGINAL STORY (2:28 p.m. ET): The New England Patriots were extremely healthy entering their matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday — but that didn’t last very long.

Morgan Moses (illness), Khyiris Tonga (chest), Jared Wilson (ankle) and Brenden Schooler (ankle) all left during the first half — showcasing that extended breaks might not be all they’re cracked up to be.

Moses missed just one series, though he did return to the locker room for a short period of time. Tonga only missed a few plays, eventually returning on the field goal protection unit. Wilson and Schooler, however, would not return before halftime — with the former being carted from the sideline to the locker room.

Ben Brown and Marcus Bryant were the replacements for Wilson and Moses, respectively. Bryant received just a handful of snaps before giving way back to Moses.
