They presented him as dead, Real Madrid publicly apologizes to Elche and Andre Silva

During the regular General Assembly of the board of directors, Real Madrid made an embarrassing and extremely sensitive mistake in its memorial video dedicated to those who lost their lives during the year.
The Spanish club intended to pay tribute to Liverpool’s Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident on July 3. However, instead of a photo of Jota’s brother, the video mistakenly featured Andre da Silva, a player for Elche, the very team Real Madrid are playing tonight.
After the error was noticed and caused immediate reactions, Real Madrid published an official announcement on the X platform, publicly apologizing.
“Real Madrid CF apologizes to Elche and their player Andre da Silva for the mistaken inclusion of his photo in the emotional video obituary, instead of the photo of André Silva, Diogo Jota’s brother. We regret what happened,” Real Madrid said in a statement.
Diogo Jota, 28, and his brother Andre, 25, died on the 65th kilometer of the A-52 motorway in the Zamora area, towards Benavente, an event that severely shook Portuguese and European football.
Real Madrid had earlier expressed their condolences for the tragic loss, paying tribute to the Portuguese footballer during the Champions League match against Liverpool. Xabi Alonso, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Emilio Butragueno laid flowers at a makeshift memorial near Anfield.
Meanwhile, the match between Elche and Real Madrid will take place tonight starting at 21:00 PM. /Telegraph/
