For the third time this month a pair of Eastern Conference teams that faced off in the first round of the playoffs last season share the court as the Boston Celtics host the Orlando Magic on Sunday, Nov. 23 at TD Garden in Boston.

The 8-8 Celtics are looking to get the taste out of their mouths from Friday’s 113-105 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Boston had just won in Brooklyn on Tuesday, but a 40-25 second quarter that went Nets’ way was too much to overcome.
Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 26 to go with eight rebounds, two steals and a team-high four assists. That assist mark was also reached by Derrick White, Payton Pritchard and Anfernee Simons, the latter of whom had 23 off the bench along with two steals of his own. Pritchard had 13 points and White had just 6 as he went two-for-13 from the field. Neemias Queta had 16 points and 12 rebounds while Jordan Walsh had 9 and six boards.
The Magic are playing in the second half of a back-to-back that started in Orlando with a 133-121 win over the New York Knicks. It was the squad’s third straight win and second three-game winning streak over the seven games since the Magic last played the Celtics. The team’s played twice in three days in Orlando with the home team getting the first game, 123-110, and the visitors winning the second, 111-107. Franz Wagner was the leading scorer for the Magic in their win against Boston and on Saturday against the Knicks. He had 27 against the Celtics earlier in the month and 37 on Saturday, along with a team-high seven assists. Desmond Bane had 27 against New York and Jalen Suggs had 26 as the team improved to 10-7.
