Commonwealth Bank has lost its most senior technology executive, with chief information officer Gavin Munroe leaving the country’s largest lender after just over three years leading its artificial intelligence deployment and the shift of core systems to the cloud.
CBA chief executive Matt Comyn, who has held the top job for 7½ years with at least three more to go, has presided over a stable senior executive team for most of his tenure but has seen a string of departures in recent months as some top executives seek opportunities elsewhere.
