BBC Weather has predicted a dreary end to the month of November. It has forecast almost two straight weeks of rain and wind to blight the capital.
Temperatures fell to as low as -6.6C in some parts of the country this week, although London escaped the frost and snow seen in other cities. While things are set to warm-up, they certainly won’t be getting any drier.
There is set to be on-and-off rain almost every day until Friday, December 5. Temperatures will start to rise up to the low teens from the sudden lows of 3C which Londoners have been experiencing this week.
Londoners are forecast to have some respite from the rain on Tuesday (November 25) when there will be “sunny intervals and a gentle breeze” in the capital. The Met Office has a slightly more optimistic forecast. It predicts Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to be dry.

The BBC London Weather forecast said: “The start of tonight will remain cloudy and damp with rain, though the rain will gradually ease. Turning dry through the early hours with the odd clearer break possible by dawn. Winds easing. After a dry start tomorrow with a few brighter breaks, it will turn windy as a band of blustery, heavy rain pushes in from the west. This will clear later to leave it largely dry with bright spells.
“Monday will see cloudy conditions to start with the odd spell of rain. Cloud should then break allowing bright spells to develop. Windy. A dry and bright day on Tuesday. Patches of mist and fog could develop overnight into Wednesday under clear skies. Some bright spells to start but clouding over later with a band of rain moving in from the west.”
