Strictly star admits Instant Dance challenge is ‘going to be awful’ as celebs share their fears over show twist

THE remaining Strictly Come Dancing celebrities have expressed their fears over next week’s Instant Dance challenge, with one famous face admitting it’s “going to be awful”.

During Sunday night’s show, the remaining six contestants discussed being given a random dance next week, which means they will need to use their memory from their time on the show to remember the steps.

Claudia Winkleman announced: “Now next week, the competition is ramping up. Strictly has a brand new challenge. Everyone hold hands, let’s take a look at this.”

A teaser was then shown which said the celebs would have to randomly pick a dance style, with a voiceover from judge Motsi Mabuse saying: “It’s the ultimate test of how much they’ve learnt.

“And how in tune they are with their dance partner, and with a place in the quarter final at stake, the spotlight will be more on them than ever.”

The show then cut back to Claudia, Tess Daly and the pairs as they shared their honest reactions to the first-time twist.

Amber Davies said: “It’s going to be chaotic,” as she nervously held her head in her hands.

Her partner Nikita Kuzmin joked: “We love chaos. Imagine, live television, you don’t know the dance, you don’t know the costume, you don’t know the song.

“You know nothing and the best part, nobody can stop you.”

George Clarke admitted: “It’ll be a laugh. It’ll go awfully, either it goes awfully and I’m upset about it or I’m having a good time. I’ll just try and smile.”

Meanwhile, Alex Kingston said: “I’m terrified, I’m absolutely terrified.”

Attempting to make the situation better, her partner Johannes Radebe commented: “We have prepared choreography, we just have to remember what it is.”

At the beginning of Saturday’s show, Tess announced that there would be no elimination following La Voix’s exit from the competition due to her injury.

The celebrities and professional dancers jumped in unison as they shared their excitement for being safe this week.

In tonight’s instalment, the drag queen broke down in tears in her first interview as she bid goodbye to the BBC One show.

She emotionally told Tess and Claudia: “This has been the most extraordinary experience of my entire life, it really has.”

FAREWELL LA VOIX

Sharing her signature comedic timing, La Voix added: “I’ve come into this show as a minority… as a redhead… you’ve just all embraced me wonderfully.

“I just I cannot thank you enough for just this most magical, magical journey has been amazing,”

Speaking to Aljaz Skorjanec about his experience training the star, he said: “La Voix had everyone in stitches on a Saturday and Sunday night, but I was in stitches seven days a week.

“You know, we always say ‘I’ve made a friend for life’ on Strictly, but I’ve been lucky this year, because I feel like I made two friends for life.

“On Saturday and Sundays, we all laughed with La Voix, but from Monday to Thursday and Friday, I had the best time with Chris, and genuinely, I haven’t done a single crunch in the last four months, but I got my six pack back, which is amazing!”

As La Voix teared up, Aljaz continued said: “I feel like the world needs more of you, and I think Strictly needed it.
