Dharmendra cremated in Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan pays last respects

Veteran actor Dharmendra, fondly remembered as Hindi cinema’s original ‘He-Man’, died on November 24. He was 89. His last rites were held at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai, where members of the film fraternity and family have gathered to pay their final respects.
Dharmendra had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month and was discharged on November 12. The actor had been unwell for some time.
Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan and several other industry colleagues were seen arriving at the funeral to bid farewell to the iconic star, whose contribution to Indian cinema spans over six decades.
In an emotional coincidence, the makers of his upcoming film ‘Ikkis’ released a poster featuring Dharmendra earlier today. The war drama is scheduled for a December theatrical release and now stands as one of his final on-screen appearances.
Dharmendra leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable performances, a towering filmography, and generations of audiences who adored him.
