NORTH Melbourne star Ash Riddell claimed the Best and Fairest after an enthralling count on Monday night.
Guaranteed at least a share of the coveted prize heading into the final round, Riddell was joined on 20 votes by Geelong star Georgie Prespakis.

But the Roos ball-magnet polled another three votes – the sixth time she took home maximum votes – to win outright on 23 votes.
