David Reinbacher put on quite a show for Laval Rocket fans Friday night, but he also gave the crowd a real scare – unintentionally.

Reinbacher played a very solid game with a goal, an assist, and a ton of energy on the ice. However, late in the game, he frightened everyone.

You could see Reinbacher grimace, and he skated to the bench in pain.

Fortunately, after a few moments, the defenseman got back up and was able to return for the start of overtime – and it was worth it.

Reinbacher reassures fans as the Laval Rocket win in overtime

The Rocket won 4-3 in overtime thanks to Adam Engstrom. Fans were able to exhale and celebrate. And David Reinbacher had a big smile after the game!

“Everything’s good,” he said with a smile. “I’m happy right now. It’s been harder over the past season and a half, but it feels good to win, to have fun with the guys, and to see all the smiles. I try to work hard every day. The key is to be consistent and to prove it game after game.” – Reinbacher

Reinbacher now has five points in nine games, and you can see he’s slowly finding his rhythm again after a difficult start to the season.

For the Rocket, the night wasn’t easy. Belleville tied the game just nine seconds after scoring. And late in the game, Xavier Bourgault forced overtime on a shot that was blocked by Reinbacher.

The two teams play again this Saturday afternoon. Fans will surely keep an eye on his right hand.

But for now, they can be proud of him – and of the win.
