Temperatures to drop below freezing tonight, as Met Éireann warn of cold nights ahead

However, tonight will be cold and clear, with mostly dry conditions, apart from a few showers in Ulster coming in from the north.

It will be a dry and bright morning for many tomorrow, with good spells of sunshine, but it might gradually turn cloudier from the west in the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will range between 6 and 10C, as rain and drizzle move into western Atlantic counties in the evening.
Tomorrow night will remain cloudy, with some rain and drizzle in the west at first, later slowly spreading to the east across the country.

Met Éireann meteorologist Holly O’Neill said the week ahead is going to “start drier and brighter before turning more unsettled from midweek onwards”.
“Expect the nights to be cold, with temperatures ranging from 0 to 5C, and possibly dropping further locally on Tuesday night, coldest in the east,” she said.
