Aussies sell their tech company to US giant for $5b

Two Australian tech entrepreneurs have sold their software monitoring company to US cybersecurity giant Palo Alto Networks for more than $5 billion in one of the biggest deals of the year.
Palo Alto Networks is Nasdaq-listed with a market capitalisation of more than $US125 billion ($193.4 billion). It finalised the purchase of US-based Chronosphere for $US3.3 billion as part of a broader push into cloud security late last week.
