Louisville basketball will be down a player Monday against Eastern Michigan at the KFC Yum! Center.
Kasean Pryor is in concussion protocol and has been ruled out of the game, a team spokesperson said in a statement.
The No. 5 Cardinals (5-0) and Eagles (3-2) are set for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
Before Monday, Pryor was four games into his return from a torn anterior cruciate ligament that he suffered last November in the Battle 4 Atlantis championship. The 6-foot-10 forward has totaled nine points on 4-for-10 shooting, 10 rebounds, four steals and an assist in 33 minutes (8.2 per appearance).
Pryor saw only eight minutes of run during UofL’s comeback win over Cincinnati last Friday. The sixth-year Chicago native went scoreless with two rebounds and two steals.
“It’s going to take a little bit of time for him to get back in the flow,” coach Pat Kelsey said after Pryor played only two minutes of the Cards’ win over archrival Kentucky on Nov. 11. “Kasean’s going to be huge for us. He’s going to be a big, big part of a special season, and we’re really, really going to need him.”
The game between the Cards and the Eagles will air on the ACC Network, which is channel 610 on AT&T U-Verse; channel 612 on DirecTV; channel 402 on Dish; and channels 524 and 937 on Spectrum. Cooper Boardman (play-by-play) and Randolph Childress (analyst) will be on the call.
If you subscribe to a cable package, you’ll be able to livestream the game via ESPN.com and the ESPN app. If you don’t have cable, you can livestream the game via ESPN+ (subscriber only) or Fubo, which offers a free trial here.
