Zach Edey doubtful to return vs Nikola Jokic, Nuggets after head injury

Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey is doubtful to return against the Denver Nuggets on Nov. 24 due to a head injury, the team announced.
Edey left the game in the first quarter and did not return. Memphis will rely on Jock Landale, Santi Aldama and Jaren Jackson Jr. in the starting center’s absence.
Edey’s absence would be a big blow against the Nuggets. Denver center Nikola Jokic is an MVP candidate that will be even tougher to match up against without Edey.
Memphis has won its last two games in large part because of Edey’s impact. He made his season debut on Nov. 15 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Grizzlies (6-11) are 2-2 since Edey’s debut. He missed the first 13 games while recovering from an offseason ankle surgery.
