Suns’ Dillon Brooks fined $35K for confronting official, inappropriate language

It’s a good thing Dillon Brooks is making over $20 million this season, because his pockets continue to get lighter.
The NBA announced on Saturday that the Phoenix Suns forward had been fined $35,000 for confronting and directing inappropriate language toward game officials.
He’s incurred over $400,000 worth of fines throughout his nine-year career, stemming from over 100 incidents.
His latest fine-incurring actions occurred following the conclusion of Phoenix’s 114-113 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. Brooks finished the game with 22 points, five rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes of action.
The Mississauga, Ont. native is in the midst of a breakout season — averaging a career-best 21.0 points and 2.1 steals per game through 10 appearances — as he’s helped the Suns to a surprising 10-6 start, good for 6th in the West.
