He was one innocent father who loved his daughter enough to become a person filled with rage, so much so that he hit the murderous trail. Played by the renowned Christian Bale, this character was seen in The Pale Blue Eye. Bale’s character of Landor is a retired primarily a detective, but eventually begins to hunt those who have him experience one of the worst heartbreaks ever.

Do you think Dexter will hunt this innocent father? Or will he just leave him be, to suffer in pain he has already experienced?

9 Ghost Face

Ghost Face is the killer who is still giving many people long nightmares. Coming from an age-old thriller franchise, Scream, Ghost Face is another notorious killer who has been stalking and killing several groups of teenagers.

First seen in the 1996 movie, which starred the heavily acclaimed Courtney Cox from the series Friends, Drew Barrymore, as well as Matthew Lillard, who also won our hearts playing Shaggy in the Scooby-Doo movies, the serial killer is still on the loose.

The homicidal maniac was recently seen in Scream 6, a movie that starred Jenna Ortega, alongside Hayden Panettiere, as well as Samara Weaving. This is one killer Dexter will chase to death.

8 John Kramer

He is one of the worst serial killers to mess with, someone who even the FBI has been hunting for years. Moreover, his techniques have proven to be merciless. John Kramer first made his appearance in 2004, in the very first entry of Saw.

While he still seems to be hiding in plain sight, Dexter is someone who would hunt him down, well, not so quickly, but surely would avenge many lives. We can’t even imagine a technique Hall’s killer would use to kill Kramer. However, it should be noted that the sociopath was killed in the third entry of this ever-loved slasher outing, with many still hoping to see him make an appearance in a future Saw entry.

With time, the Saw franchise kept on evolving, and more people were killed by John Kramer. The character is played by Tobin Bell. For those unversed, the actor has also played a small role in Goodfellas, a star-studded entry.

7 Leatherface

When we are talking about the most brutal killers of all time, how can we forget the one who is the most disturbed of all? Wearing a mask made out of human skin, wielding a chainsaw, he comes swiftly and kills. What’s even more frightening is that he is from a family of cannibals, a real descendant who has tasted not just blood but also flesh.

When it comes to Dexter, killing Leatherface might be a hard time, and catching him sounds like a risky job. However, Hall’s character would have fun chasing him.

6 Sweeney Todd

Sweeney Todd is another fictional killer who is also regarded as the greatest mass murderer. Coming from the tales of Penny Dreadful, he was later seen in the titular 2006 film. The character was played by Ray Winstone, who was joined by Tom Hardy playing the character of Matthew, as well as Essie Davis, David Warner, and others.

He is clever, and he vashises like smoke, a chase between Dexter Morgan and Sweeney Todd would be interesting like the string of pearls.

5 Michael Myers

The lead of the Halloween franchise, Michael Myers, is one of the most loved slashers from Hollywood movies. First seen in the 1978 feature by John Carpenter, he just loves to murder people. No reason, no aim, pure murder.

Over the years, he was seen in many outings, including two of the latest, Halloween Kills, which was released in 2021, as well as Halloween Ends in 2022. Dexter will have to visit the town of Haddonfield if he wishes to hunt Myers.

4 Hannibal Lecter

If you are saying you don’t love Hannibal Lecter, you are fooling yourself. Becoming a part of our hearts, the character, played by two of the highly acclaimed actors, Anthony Hopkins, as well as Mads Mikkelsen, was first seen in 1986’s Manhunter.  In the next decade, the character bloomed through Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, and other entries.

If Dexter and Hannibal Lecter lived in the same universe, they would have one of the bloodiest battles ever.

3 Patrick Bateman

Christian Bale is the only actor who made it on our list two times. No doubt the actor has been praised for his on-screen skills for years. Interestingly, Patrick Bateman is not just a serial killer, but also an Investment Banker.

His methods are interesting, which are depicted with precision in the 2000s film American Psycho. While there is a secret to his killings, Patrick Bateman and Dexter Morgan would make a perfect pair who would go on a murderous killing spree together. We strongly believe Dexter would have kept him alive.

2 John Doe

Coming to the top two serial killers on our list, John Doe hit us hard the moment he made it to the screens back in 1995 in the movie Se7en. What makes his character even more strategic are the techniques which would have only left the detective scratching their heads, if it were not for John Doe himself giving in.

Moreover, John Doe was played by the one and only Kevin Spacey, an actor capable of playing an unnamed character not once but twice in the same year. His other similar outing was The Usual Suspects.

A perfect rival for Dexter Morgan, leaving some intriguing traces, only to have him circle the case all over again. Do you think Dexter could have caught John Doe?

1 The Zodiac Killer

We don’t know who he is, nor does the police. We don’t know his face, we don’t have his trace, all we know are his killings. If you loved Seven, you will worship Zodiac. A movie starring three of the best actors, Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, as well as Robert Downey Jr., this 2007 film left every theater in shock back in the day.

While the killer’s identity is still unknown, we can only leave the job to Dexter.

This was our list of serial killers, hunting whom Dexter would have fun. However, our special mention is someone whom you would hate to the core. She is none other than Holly Jones from the movie Prisoners.

She is nothing but a mean person, and the worst about her is that she hunts down children. Played by Melissa Leo, we sincerely hope for Dexter to kill her in cold blood.
