National League club appoint fourth manager of season

National League club Yeovil Town have appointed their fourth manager of the season.

The Glovers have brought in Billy Rowley to take charge.

He has left Walton & Hersham in order to make the move to Huish Park.

He takes the top job at the fifth tier’s 17th-placed club after Richard Dryden’s spell in charge.

And Rowley also follows Mark Cooper and Danny Webb into the hot seat in 2025/26.

Yeovil, in a statement, welcomed the arrival of the “highly-rated” Rowley, claiming he had attracted interest from clubs in Leagues One and Two.

They cited his previous coaching roles which included spells with the academies at Chelsea, Fulham and Millwall.

He has been at Walton & Hersham for the last 18 months and leaves the club top of the Southern League Premier South division.

Rowley said: “It’s a massive community club. The history of this club is incredible, I know a few boys who have played for this team and they can’t speak highly enough of it.

“I’m just looking forward to getting on the grass with the lads. When a club like Yeovil call you up, it is incredibly hard to turn that down.”

The Glovers’ chairman Prabhu Srinivasan added: “Our focus is clear: progressive, attacking football, a strong identity, and a commitment to developing players at Huish Park. In Billy Rowley, we found exactly what we were looking for.”

Yeovil began the season with Cooper in charge but he was sacked in August after a poor start to the campaign. Chesterfield No2 Webb then took charge but left after one game because of “personal and family reasons”.

Coach and former caretaker Dryden then stepped up in September to be appointed boss for the rest of the season – but two months later he has also been replaced.
