Get a year of HBO Max for $36 right now

I haven’t subscribed to HBO Max in several years, but this new deal might just get me back into the streamer just in time for new seasons of Euphoria and House of the Dragon in 2026. Announced today, the streamer is offering one year of the ad-supported service for $3 a month, which works out to $36 a year.
This tier allows streaming on two devices in full HD and costs $11 a month at full price, giving subscribers a full 73% off for a year of the service. Unfortunately, there are no discounts on the Standard or Premium plans, which means the vast majority of live sports, 4K, and offline downloads won’t be available for those who take advantage of this deal.
Interested customers can sign up for this discounted rate via HBOMax.com, Apple, Google Play, Roku, Samsung, Xumo and “additional select partners,” and for new HBO Max customers only on Amazon Fire TV.
What to watch on HBO Max in 2026
It is going to be a big year for Game of Thrones fans
HBO/Max
This deal comes just in time for Game of Thrones universe fans as 2026 will not only see the return of House of the Dragon, but also the debut of new spinoff A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. New seasons of Industry, Hacks, The Pitt, and Euphoria have also been announced for next year. And of course, the streamer also includes an extensive movie library including titles from Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Turner Classic Movies, A24, Studio Ghibli and more.
If you’re looking for some holiday cheer, HBO Max also has an impressive lineup of Christmas movies on the service, including Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, and The Polar Express.
If you’re still on the fence about taking advantage of this offer, you have a few days to think it over, as the promotion doesn’t end until December 1, 2025. But an entire year of streaming for the price of a single 4K Blu-Ray disc is hard to pass up.
