The guilt becomes too much for April…
Managing to wangle some cash from Bob for supposed shopping, April heads off to the bus stop. April arrives outside the house she saw on Callum’s social media. She fills a Christmas card with the cash Bob gave her before heading towards the house, knowing she’s about to do something stupid. April posts the card through the letterbox (as a gift for his ‘bereaved wife’) before running away to hide, not seeing Callum open the door.
Spooked by the occurrence, Callum calls Ray. Back at the village, Ray reveals he knows what April’s been up to. Furious, Ray urges April to stop digging into Callum, no matter how much it hurts her. Dylan can tell April’s chat with Ray has clearly rattled her.
Returning to the farm, Ray tells Celia about April almost coming face to face with Callum, and the pair begin to put a plan together to separate her from her loved ones.
Ray firmly tells April to pack a bag ready to go away on a job, April sees no choice and heads off to do his bidding.
