Tata Sierra takes shape through detailed clay modelling

Here’s a full-size clay model of the Tata Sierra. Tata Motors says it takes around six months to make one using industrial clay. The clay is heated to about 60–70°C so it becomes soft and easy to shape. These clay models are used to create full-scale or scaled versions of future car designs to check their look and aerodynamics. Once the model is finished, the design is approved and moves to the final production stages. Pretty cool, right?
