Hugely popular DJ Fred Again reveals surprise Vancouver show | Events

A super popular British DJ is going to be performing in Vancouver and is using quite a unique system for selling tickets.
Fred Again (also known to fans as ‘Fred again..’ or just ‘Fred’) is coming to Vancouver and performing at the Vancouver Convention Centre on Nov. 28, as part of a tour involving 10 cities.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, but as of 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, you only have three hours to sign up for access. Fans who pre-register have to provide information, including their email and phone number, to get a unique code and ticket link.
Ticket sales open up on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 10 a.m. Codes provided to ticket buyers allow you to buy four tickets.
“Your code only works for this show/date,” the pre-registration email states.
According to the pre-registration email, having a code doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get a ticket.
“Demand is very high, and tickets are first-come, first-served.”
Sign-up for the ticket codes ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24. The email states that all tickets are $131.65.
There are other performers on the Vancouver bill alongside Fred Again, including a DJ set with Skream & Benga and SICARIA.
The show is 19+ only, and photo ID will be required upon entry.
There is also some additional info for folks who might be looking to sell their tickets.
“Tickets must not be resold for profit on third-party sites. Any found may be cancelled,” the email says.
Additionally, Face Value Exchange is being used for the show, meaning tickets can be resold at face value if you can’t attend.
“Ticket transfer will be turned off to help keep prices fair and ensure tickets stay in the hands of real fans rather than resellers. This means that you will need to enter with the friends you bought tickets for.”
Fred Again has been nominated for several awards, including Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Dance/Electronic Album. In 2023, Fred Again made an appearance at Coachella after Frank Ocean was forced to duck out. The same year, he also performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts to much acclaim.
Interestingly, the top comment on the concert tour announcement on Instagram reads, “One day, Fred will play in Vancouver, B.C. That will be a great day.”
Looks like that day has come, benzcooper.
To sign up, visit the concert website, but remember, the time to sign up is limited.
