No. 13 Vanderbilt (No. 14 CFP) defeated Kentucky 45-17 behind a five-touchdown, 484-yard performance from Diego Pavia. The Commodores remain alive in the CFP race with the victory. Meanwhile, No. 17 Texas (No. 17 CFP) took down Arkansas 52-23 as Arch Manning threw, ran for and caught a touchdown for the Longhorns.

No. 20 Tennessee (No. 20 CFP) dominated rival Florida in Gainesville, Florida, for a 31-11 win. It was the first win for the Vols at Florida since 2003.

In the cupcake games, No. 3 Texas A&M (No. 3 CFP) defeated Samford 48-0; No. 4 Georgia (No. 4 CFP) took care of business with a dominant 35-3 win over Charlotte; and No. 10 Alabama (No. 10 CFP) beat Eastern Illinois 56-0.
