Thousands wait but Fred Again sells out Vancouver in minutes

Ticket sales for Fred Again opened up today for those who pre-registered for his upcoming Vancouver show, but most were out of luck, and the show sold out in minutes.
Earlier this week, the super-popular British DJ dropped a surprise announcement that he’d be performing in Vancouver this Friday, Nov. 28, at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
Tickets would only be sold to those who signed up on his website.
Fans who pre-registered have to provide information, including their email and phone number, to get a unique code and ticket link.
Ticket sales opened up today at 10 a.m. Codes provided to ticket buyers allowed concertgoers to buy a maximum of four tickets.
“Your code only works for this show/date,” the pre-registration email stated.
Daily Hive heard from several people who were in line, all at various spots within the queue, ranging from 6,000 to over 100,000. The Vancouver Convention Centre doesn’t have lots of capacity for a huge concert, so anyone who was in line at 6,000 or more would’ve likely been out of luck from the get-go.
We put ourselves in the queue and were able to get to the Ticketmaster page to add tickets to a cart, but were soon greeted with this message, as were likely thousands of others:
Ticketmaster
If you didn’t get a ticket to the Fred Again Vancouver show, the only option you now have is for someone who can’t go to offer you a Face Value Exchange.
Be wary of scammers, as many people claiming to have tickets to the Vancouver show were trying to sell them on social media even before ticket sales opened up.
Fred Again has been nominated for several awards, including Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Dance/Electronic Album. In 2023, Fred Again made an appearance at Coachella after Frank Ocean was forced to duck out. The same year, he also performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts to much acclaim.
Were you able to land tickets to the Friday show, or were you out of luck as well?
