Adelaide weather forecast for Monday November 24th and the days ahead

South Australians are in for a mixed week of weather as November draws to a close, with everything from thunderstorms to cool changes, showers, strong coastal winds and even a severe heatwave warning across parts of the state.
In Adelaide, today brings a warm and partly cloudy top of 31 degrees, but the Bureau of Meteorology is flagging the chance of a late morning or afternoon thunderstorm as winds swing from easterly and north-easterly to a cooler west to south-westerly by midday.
From Tuesday, temperatures take a noticeable dip. A 15 to 24 degree day is expected with the chance of showers, setting the tone for the rest of the week. Wednesday and Thursday continue the cool trend, with highs in the low twenties and a high chance of showers. The pattern holds through the weekend with partly cloudy skies, occasional showers, and maximums settling around 21–22 degrees, weather for a jacket and an umbrella handy.
Outside the metro area, parts of South Australia are facing more serious conditions. A Fire Weather Warning is current for the Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders and Mid North regions, with hot, dry and gusty winds creating extreme fire danger. Residents are urged to stay alert, review their bushfire survival plans, and keep across local updates.
Coastal and marine areas are also on notice. Strong Wind Warnings are in place for Tuesday across the Far West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast and South Central Coast. Boaties are advised to take extra caution or reschedule trips where possible.
Meanwhile, the North East Pastoral District is under a severe heatwave warning, with conditions posing increased health risks, particularly for older people, young children and those with medical conditions. Staying hydrated, avoiding the hottest part of the day and seeking cool environments are strongly recommended.
