Rangers place F Parssinen on waivers

The New York Rangers have placed forward Juuso Parssinen on waivers Tuesday afternoon, per TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston.

Parssinen, 24, has two goals and one assist in 14 games with the Rangers this season.

A seventh-round pick (210th overall) by the Nashville Predators in 2019, Parssinen made his NHL debut on Nov. 12, 2022.

In 2024-25, he was dealt to the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 28, where he spent two months before being traded again on March 1 to New York, along with Calvin de Haan and two draft picks in exchange for Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey and Hank Kempf.

He is in the first season of a two-year, $2.5 million contract with an AAV of $1.25 million.

The Hameenlinna, Finland native has skated in 151 career NHL games, scoring 22 goals with 56 points, split between the Predators, Avalanche and Rangers.
