A pair of Eastern Conference squads that have had similar starts to the season square off for the second time at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Nov. 25 when the Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Orlando Magic.
This NBA game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock. Fans looking to watch can do so for free by using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial. Orlando is 10-8 and had won three straight prior to a 138-129 loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday. The Magic had a surprise leading scorer in that contest as third-year man Jett Howard went for 30 and seven rebounds off the bench, surpassing his previous career-high by 9 points and his previous season-high by 22. Jase Richardson had 18, also from a reserve role, matching the scoring output of Desmond Base, who had the most among starters. Bane, Anthony Black and Franz Wagner all had five assists as the team had 33. Black and Wagner combined for 29 with Wagner also grabbing eight rebounds. Meanwhile, Noah Penda chipped in 13 points, eight boards and four assists from off the pine.
The 9-7 Sixers have alternated between wins and losses for basically the entire month, and they are currently coming off a loss. The 127-117 defeat to the Miami Heat on Sunday did feature the most consistent part of the team on display as Tyrese Maxey once again led his squad in scoring, this time pouring in 27 points to go with six assists and two steals. Andre Drummond added 14 points, 24 rebounds, nine of which were offensive, and two blocks while Tristan Watford came off the bench to drop 19 with nine boards, seven assists, a steal and a block. Jared McCain had a season-high with 15 points, also off the bench, matching the total Quentin Grimes put up in first start of the season. And then Paul George contributed 10 points and five assists in 20 minutes as he still works to get off his minutes restriction. George and Joel Embiid both missed the first meeting between these teams, which also happened in Philadelphia and was won by the home team, 136-124.
