Crash closes portion of US Highway 61

DAKOTA, Minn. (KTTC) – The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash involved a commercial vehicle and a van.
It happened at 8:20 a.m.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Patrol expects northbound Highway 61 to reopen by noon.
ORIGINAL STORY: A crash has closed a portion of U.S. Highway 61.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash impacts the northbound lanes, one mile north of Dakota. The closure is between I-90 and Falcon Road.
A detour is in place for drivers who need to get around the closure.
The State Patrol says the closure is expected to remain in place all morning.
No word yet on what caused the accident or if anyone was hurt.
