Bills sign Brandin Cooks in effort to boost WR room

Allen is coming off a tough loss to the Texans in which he threw two interceptions, and he’s thrown for under 215 yards in five of his 11 starts. Khalil Shakir leads the team with 54 receptions and 564 yards. Tight end Dalton Kincaid, who has a team-high four touchdown catches, has been sorely missed the past two weeks while out with a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, 2024 second-round pick Keon Coleman is second on the team in receptions (32) but has been a healthy scratch two straight weeks.
Cooks, now a part of the sixth team of his NFL career, will hopefully mix in quickly to sturdy up the ranks. Should he prove a capable addition down the stretch, perhaps he might even approach the 10,000-yard career mark; he currently sits at 9,697 yards and 60 TDs on 729 receptions in his career.
That’s what the 7-4 Bills will be banking on as they push for playoff berth.
