Tottenham are one of five clubs yet to lose a game in this season’s Champions League but they will have to be at their very best to extend that run at the Parc des Princes.
Just four days after being badly roughed up by Arsenal they now head to France to take on reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain, though having already drawn with the Parisian giants once this season they have to believe they can defy the odds once more.

PSG vs Tottenham preview
PSG, the reigning European champions, and Tottenham, last season’s Europa League winners, have already met once this season and there was nothing to choose between them.
That clash was the curtain-raising Super Cup in August, when Spurs gave as good as they got in Thomas Frank’s first match in charge.
After 90 minutes in Udine these two couldn’t be separated after PSG came from two down to draw 2-2 before nicking the silverware on penalties.
It wasn’t a bad start for Frank against a side who had humiliated Inter just a couple of months before to win the Champions League, and it heralded a positive start at the Tottenham Stadium under their new Danish manager.
Fast forward three months, however, and this has the potential to be a train wreck of a trip for Tottenham.
PSG, if anything, are weaker man for man than they were in August but Tottenham have gone way off the boil with only three wins in 11 and you have to fear for them at the Parc des Princes.
That they lose, while never inevitable, looks as likely as the odds imply, especially after their meek surrender at Arsenal on Sunday.
If this game matters then so did that one and Tottenham failed to get out of bed for it, mustering only two efforts on target in 90 minutes, one of which was Richarlison’s outrageous Hail Mary for his side’s goal in the 4-1 loss.
Arsenal were essentially allowed to play at their pace with very little resistance and you have to wonder if PSG won’t get to do the same.
Tottenham can show fight when least expected, as they proved last season when they won the Europa League despite a wretched domestic campaign.
This season they have won 2-0 at Manchester City, a result that not too many would have seen coming, and in the Champions League have beaten Villarreal 1-0 and Copenhagen 4-0, drawing their two away games at Bodo/Glimt and Monaco.
Those are good results and they are in a strong position to qualify but the bar, set high at City in August, seems to have been lowered pretty much week by week to the extent that it’s hard to give them much of a sniff.
PSG aren’t amazingly consistent and are missing Desire Doue and possibly Ousmane Dembele.
However, they have been winning at half-time and full-time in two of their four Champions League ties, against Atalanta and Leverkusen, and can notch the hat-trick here.
Vitinha to get Vicario’s attention
With a goal and six assists in Ligue 1 this season, central midfielder Vitinha can contribute to PSG’s cause in the final third. He also has a goal and an assist in the Champions League in which he is averaging 2.3 shots per game. Spurs may be penned back for long spells so take Vitinha to muster at least one effort on target.
Rich pickings for card lovers
The ever-angry Richarlison has already picked up six yellow cards this season including one in the season-opener against PSG in the Super Cup. His fragile patience will be tested to the limit at the Parc des Princes where he can collect a seventh.
PSG vs Tottenham Bet Builder
Bradley Barcola to have a shot on Target
Bradley Barcola averages 2.6 shots per game in Ligue 1, 2.3 in the Champions League, so can land one on target against Tottenham.
Over 3.5 match cards
There were five cards when PSG and Spurs met back in August, the kind of target they can match or better now the stakes are higher.
Over 7.5 PSG corners
Good enough to clock up nine corners against Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Luis Enrique’s champs can register eight or more this week.
