La Dea sacked Ivan Juric and drafted in Palladino during the break for international duty, so he made his debut in Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Napoli.
This is the first Champions League game of his coaching career, and the club has a decent record so far this season, beating Club Brugge and Olympique Marseille, but also losing 4-0 at PSG and drawing 0-0 at home with Slavia Praha.

Scamacca came off the bench against Napoli to score an acrobatic volley, and he is rewarded with a start here, backed by Charles De Ketelaere and Lookman.
Giorgio Scalvini and long-term absentee Mitchel Bakker are the only ones still out of action.

Curiously, Atalanta have been twinned with Eintracht Frankfurt since 2000, when two sets of fans met at a train station and become firm friends.

They’ve regularly visited each other’s games and had two Trofeo Bortolotti friendly matches, but this is their first ever official fixture.
The Germans have had a mixed campaign in Europe, beating Galatasaray 5-1, then losing by the same result to Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.
Their last outing was a 0-0 away to Napoli, which prompted Antonio Conte to accuse them of using Catenaccio tactics.
Oscar Hojlund (brother of Rasmus), Hugo Larsson and Can Uzun are out of action with muscular problems.
Jonathan Burkardt is chosen to lead the attack, with veteran Mario Gotze in support.
Former Bologna defender Arthur Theate and ex-Roma man Rasmus Kristensen are in defence with giant Robin Koch.
