Celebrity Masterchef continues tonight (Tuesday 25 November) and will see Chris Hughes take part in the second week of heats.
The horse racing pundit, former Love Island and Celebrity Big Brother star, 32, is trading the jockeys, sunny villas, the diary room for an apron and some saucepans as he hopes to make it through to the second quarter- final.
But first, he has to make it through the heats, where he’ll be competing alongside the broadcaster, Dawn O’Porter, soul legend Jaki Graham, actor Jamie Lomas, and pop star Michelle Heaton.
But who is he? Here’s what you need to know.

Chris Hughes is a TV personality with a mixture of credits including horse racing punditry, presenting, modelling, and a brief music career. He’s also played football for Bourton Rovers Football Club.
Where is Chris from?
Chris hails from the Cotswolds, specifically Temple Guiting.
What’s he famous for?
Hughes is famous for appearing on the third season of Love Island in 2017. He came in second with his partner Olivia Attwood. The two then split in 2018 after which Hughes entered a relationship with Jesy Nelson, formerly of Little Mix.
After Love Island, Hughes created the musical duo Chris and Kem with Kem Cetinay, who beat Hughes in his season of Love Island. The pair had one hit in 2017, “Little Bit Leave It,” which reached number 15 in the UK Official Charts.
He went on to work as a horse racing pundit and has also commentated on BBC Sport cricket coverage. He also featured in BBC Three’s Me, My Brother and Our Balls documentary which followed him and his brother, Ben, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer after discovering a lump on his testicles.
Hughes had earlier completed a testicle exam live on This Morning, which had prompted his brother to check his own health.
The horse racing pundit also featured on the ITV drama makeover show Queens for the Night in 2022, where he transformed into ‘Orla Feelz’ and came in third place.
Hughes found himself back in the headlines earlier this year after he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, where he came in sixth place and met current partner, JoJo Siwa.

While on Celebrity Big Brother, Hughes met JoJo Siwa with whom he is now in a relationship with.
Siwa came to fame via the reality show, Dance Moms. She came out as LGBTQ+ in 2021 before identifying as pansexual and later as a lesbian. She then competed on Dancing with the Stars as part of the show’s first same-sex coupling and came in second.
In 2024, she released the song “Karma” as part of a rebrand which was not without controversy. She claimed to started a new genre of music, “gay pop” and later had to retract some statements due to a backlash from queer musicians and music lovers.
She joined Hughes in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year. The two got on like a house on fire and were often seen cuddling.

During this time she was in a relationship with the non-binary DJ Kath Ebbs. After exiting the house in April, (finishing in third place) Siwa broke up with Ebbs.
Siwa and Hughes were then seen frequently together, including at Hughes’ parents’ house. After dodging questions about the relationship the pair confirmed in June that they were no longer “platonic.”
The pair have spent a lot of time one act other’s orbit since then with some public comments being made about having children and getting married.
Siwa has also had to combat accusations she’s gone back into the closet by entering a relationship with a man. Hughes has also defended her.
