😎 Madueke rises to the occasion to bank milestone Arsenal goal

A swashbuckling night in North London has taken another turn at the Emirates as Arsenal restore their one-goal lead against visiting Bayern Munich.

An opening strike from Jurriën Timber was cancelled out by German starlet Lennart Karl, which would see the group stage leaders deadlocked at one-all before the break.

But a moment to savour would befall on summer signing Noni Madueke when the former Chelsea winger got on the end of a fantastic driven cross from Ricardo Calafiori to restore the Gunners’ advantage in the 69th minute.

Madueke, who came on for the injured Leandro Trossard, has endured a tough start to life on the other side of the capital since his move from the Blues, spending most of the current campaign on the treatment table due to injury.

His strike roughly 20 minutes from the full-time whistle was not only critical on the night, but a first for his new employers, which came minutes before fellow substitute Gabriel Martinelli would make it 3-1 in the 77th minute.

He could not have dreamed up a better potential first hit of what Arsenal fans hope will be many to come.
