Liverpool among Semenyo suitors with Bournemouth braced for £65m bids

Bournemouth are expecting official bids for Antoine Semenyo in January, as clubs including Liverpool finalise their plans for the mid-season window.
Semenyo, 25, has a release clause of £65m active for a set period of time in January, although it has not been disclosed whether the fee is paid in its entirety immediately or over instalments.
However, sources at the Vitality Stadium are braced for approaches for the Ghana international when the window opens in five weeks’ time, with his release fee relatively low for a Premier League player of his standing.
The forward has admirers across Europe following the start to his season where he has scored six goals, including two at Anfield on the opening weekend of the campaign.
He is well-known at Liverpool, as sporting director Richard Hughes was at Bournemouth when Semenyo was signed from Bristol City in 2023, with Crystal Palace beaten in the race to sign him for £10m at the time.
