Boy stabbed at primary school in Melbourne’s south-east

A boy has been stabbed at a primary school in Melbourne’s south-east.

The boy was stabbed on school grounds at Brentwood Park Primary School on Bemersyde Drive in Berwick about 9am.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics and Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedics treated him at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

They also treated two other patients, including a woman who sustained minor injuries.

One patient was transported by road ambulance to Monash Medical Centre in stable condition.

Two schools on Bemersyde Drive, Brentwood Park Primary School and Kambrya College, were temporarily placed into lockdown.

Police have spoken to an 11-year-old boy.

The investigation remains ongoing.

The lockdowns have since been lifted.
