Man wanted in London on child rape charges detained at Washington Dulles Airport

WASHINGTON (7News) — A 35-year-old man wanted by London authorities on child rape charges was detained at Washington Dulles International Airport.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers removed Ghanaian national Kwaku Dunyo from the airport after he arrived on a flight from Frankfurt, Germany.
Dunyo is accused of raping a 16-year-old on Nov. 21, and has been wanted by the London Metropolitan Police Service, according to CBP.
London police found out that Dunyo was headed to Dulles during their search for him and contacted U.S. Homeland Security to assist.

On Saturday when his flight landed at Dulles, officers escorted him to an inspection area where they confirmed his identity. They further denied him admission into the U.S.
Dunyo was flown back to London and arrested.
